One of the most difficulties you may have adjusting to a new economy and wage is  the ,”I am worth more than this” mind set. Yes you may have more qualifications, experience & knowledge then your coworker who is on the same money as you. I’m afraid that It’s something you are just going to have to get used to. You have to weigh up the pros and cons and remember why it is you have chosen to live abroad. I was stuck in the convert everything back to AUD mindset for my first year in the UK, I would convert back and think I was on this kind of money when I was 16-17 at Blockbuster video! I am now 26. I am offcourse talking about a minimum wage job in the UK. Such as retail, hospitality or umm.. scrubbing toilets.

My advice is to take comfort in knowing you are not the only one. There are in-fact millions of others are in the same boat as you. I work with girls that have degrees and we are on the same money.

At the end of the day, money cant buy experience. You’ll get used to it.
